This year we had two teams from 8th Letchworth Scouts in the County  Born 2B Competition at Harmergreen Wood. Jay, Mae, Lauren and Adam in the Born 2B category and Molly, Rebecca, Ryan and Josh in the SAS category. Both teams did really well and came home with fantastic results – 1st place in the SAS and 2nd place in the Born 2B!

When we went to the campsite it was dark. We checked in and started to set up camp. Mae then set up the tent whilst me and Adam were wondering where the outer was to our tent. After we found out it was not there we used the spare tent. It was bigger than the other one so that was good. We had a hot drink and went to bed at 12!!!

We made breakfast, that was when we found out SOMEONE had mixed up the cool boxes! Then we made a chopping area, a fire and a camp gadget. Once again we had the wrong poles. Anyway we made four sort of gadgets – a washing line, a wet pit, a table and a holder then we cooked lunch – chicken kebabs in wraps on an open fire. Then we did some bases – first aid, pioneering and stuff like that.                                                      Dinner was burgers with flags on top that said ‘8th Letchworth’ We played a wide game and went to bed.

In the morning we cooked breakfast and that was meant to be bacon but was not. Then we packed away and after a few hours had the presentation. We lost by 1 point but the other 8th team won which was good. We then went home and relaxed
