A brilliant day out geocaching on bikes around the Greenway thanks to Richard and Jay’s excellent organising! Two groups left Letchworth early in the morning hoping to avoid the worst of the heat, the plan was that one group would cycle clockwise and the other anti- clockwise. They all had plenty of water on board as the day was forecast to be extremely hot.
They planned their routes and navigated to each cache using map and grid references then used the GPS to fine tune when they thought they we were close. Both groups met up at Manor Wood for a shady lunch then carried on their different routes. Between them the managed to find 14 caches, all now logged on our account as well as a Flying Pig Travel Bug which will continue his journey by coming to Yorkshire on summer camp so they can place him in a cache further afield. Only one cache couldn’t be logged as the stinging nettles were too much of a barrier. Well done everyone!
