A weekend relaxing around the fire with friends, backwoods cooking and bivvying in the woods. It was the longest day of the year and scouts went to sleep and woke up with the sun and the dawn chorus. (Leaders were woken bright and early just after dawn by a game of frisbee taking place in the clearing!) Jack was presented with his Chief Scout Gold Award, scouts completed parts of their Outdoor and Outdoor Plus Challenge Awards and everything ended in the best possible way with dry equipment (always a bonus) Harmergreen is probably the best scout campsite in our county (in our opinions) and gives the scouts an opportunity to get completely back to basics in a beautiful location, away from the larger, commercial sites.
