We headed off to District Bell Boating at Fairlands Lakes today with our picnic, raincoats, sun hats and sun cream all packed!  The 8th Letchworth cubs paddled their hearts out and went on to win 3 races and lost 3 races coming third overall in the competition with 5th Letchworth taking the trophy.  The parents and leaders even had a go at the end which nearly ended in disaster with the red boat looking like it was about to sink at one point before having a shuffle round of some of the bigger men!  All the cubs seemed to have lots of fun and although they’ve handed the trophy over, a great day was had by all with lots of shouting and paddling hard!  Well done to all the cubs and thanks for a great day.
