Born 2B Challenged 2014

Congratulations to both our teams of scouts who entered the county scout camping competition. Our SAS team won the trophy and our Born 2B team won ‘Best Patrol’

On the 26th of September 2014 I went to Harmer Green Wood to take part in a camp called Born 2B Challenge. I was part of a SAS team with three other scouts. We said goodbye to our parents then we had to unpack our tents and sort out our beds. We made some hot chocolate.

The next morning we woke up rise and shine to start preparing breakfast for us and the judges. When we finished we had to clear up the grubby plates. Then we had lots of activities to complete to get more points. There collected wood for making a fire for cooking lunch. We enjoyed it very much. Then we had lots of very fun things to do in the afternoon and the time went very quickly. We had some free time for about an hour and a half to do what we want. Then we had a campfire and parents could come and watch. Every team had to perform something to entertain the crowd. We did a funny Mexican Wave and the other team sang a song.

On Sunday we made a lovely breakfast and made my very own eggy bread for everyone. We did some wood chopping, then made a fence to help hedgehogs from becoming extinct. We had our lunch then started to pack up. Then it was time for the presentation. They congratulated the winners. We won the Born 2B SAS section and were given a trophy.

My favourite part was making the breakfast on both days.
