Remembrance Day is fast approaching and the annual Remembrance Day Parade will take place on Sunday 9th November. (details about meeting times to follow closer to the time from your leaders)
One of our scouts, Adam, at 8th Letchworth has a very talented Grandma. She has been busy knitting poppies so there are enough for everyone at 8th Letchworth will be able to have one, and Peter, our Group Scout Leader has given permission for us all to wear one on our uniforms. She has very kindly donated them all to the group at no cost. These will be on display on Monday and Thursday evenings along with collection boxes for donations. All money raised will go to the British Legion Poppy Appeal, the same as it would if you bought a poppy in the town. All the poppies will be saved to be worn for the parade.
Please help support the poppy appeal by bringing your donation to your meeting.
