This year 8th Letchworth Beavers went to Paradise Wildlife Park near Broxbourne for the District Day Out.
Once there, everyone got a goody bag with a map of the park, a pencil, a woodland trail sheet and a ‘find the letter’ prize draw competiton sheet.
Scattered about the Park were 6 letters. The Beavers had to find them, write them down and also what enclosure they were next to.
One of our Beavers, Ryan E, won the prize draw, a family ticket to the zoo – well done !
There were keeper talks, feeding and shows throughout the day.
We went to watch the bird show. It was funny when one of the birds refused to come out of its enclosure.
The owl flew so low it just missed everyone’s heads.
We also attended the bug show and Alfie and Chloe got to hold a millipede.
We went to a special talk that was all about the conservation. The lady showed us a lion skin that somebody had killed 2 lions to make and. It wasn’t very nice.
She also showed us some things made from ivory and some actual elephant tusks. It was very interesting but also very sad.
The sun shone all day so we were very lucky.
It was a lovely day out and is highly recommended to those who have never been before.

I had a great day at paradise wildlife park.
I loved holding the millipede the best and I really enjoyed the bird show.
My favourite animal was the lion and he roared really loudly.
I liked going into the shop and I brought a note book and a pen.

I really liked going to paradise wildlife park with my friends from beavers.
My favourite part was seeing the anacondas. Dragonfly was scared but I wasn’t.
The snow leopard looked like he wanted to get into his new bedroom as it was being built.
I really liked seeing the crocodile, he was under a light, it was keeping him warm.
I’d really like to go and visit there again soon.

I had a lovely time at paradise wild life park.
The best bit was the bird show the eagle running into the tunnel was very funny because he was like a penguin.
I also loved the gift shop.

I loved the cute monkeys, I loved the baby monkeys the most.
I enjoyed the red pandas because I have never seen them before.
The meercat was sitting under the light and its eyes were glowing.
I was a bit scared of the big lion when it did a big raw.

On Saturday we met the Meerkats and they where standing nice and tall.
We got to go in a tunnel to look at the meerkats it was really fun when we came out of the tunnel because it was a slide.
The white tiger was amazing. It was really beautiful…I have never seen such a tiger.
We also saw lions the dad was roaring and standing proud it was far away from the females.
The anacondas where really big there where two of them they were in water.
I saw a crocodile….he winked at me!!!!!

I had a really fun time at Paradise Wildlife Park.
My favourite part of the day was when we watched the bug show and were shown the tarantula.
I also really liked it when we went on the tractor and saw the animals.
When we were passing through I liked seeing the monkeys swinging in their little monkey house.
When we went in the Reptile Temple I thought that the alligator that stayed still was quite scary.
