as a very proud moment for us all at 8th Letchworth. Two of our young people, who have been through Beavers, Cubs and Scouts with us, then returned to our Cub Section as Young Leaders were awarded their Young Leader Belts by Chris King. As well as helping every week and on plenty of weekends with the cubs, they have also had to complete training modules and assessments in their own time. This is a fantastic achievement and they are the first in Letchworth and Baldock District to do this. Congratulations and Well Done from all of us at 8th Letchworth.

Bell Boat Racing at Fairlands Lakes
We headed off to District Bell Boating at Fairlands Lakes today with our picnic, raincoats, sun hats and sun cream all packed! The 8th Letchworth cubs paddled their hearts out and went on to win 3 races and lost 3 races coming third overall in the competition with 5th Letchworth taking the trophy. 25 Beavers, 3 Leaders, 4 parents, 1 Young Leader and 2 Duke of Edinburgh placement 
students all went on the District Beaver Day Out to Tolmers County Beaver Fun Day.
It was very busy when we arrived so after the opening ceremony we decided to split into 3 groups to ensure that all the Beavers got to go on as many things as possible without having to wait too long. We all met back up for lunch together. Continue reading
