On Friday I went to the Beavers hut in the woods. We had hot chocolate and saw fireworks and a bonfire. I had a great time. Thank you.

When we got there we played puzzles and other games. Then we sat down found out where we were sleeping. Then we got ready to go and see the fireworks. Then we had the bonfire. Then we had a cake and hot chocolate. Next we went to get ready for bed and had a story. Then we went to bed. Then we woke up. Then we packed and got ready and then we had breakfast. Then we did activities. It was fun. Then we when home.

Scouts start Million Hands action
Today scouts have been to St Catherines Nursing Home as part of our Million Hands 
project. We’ve helped with the gardening and chatted with some of the residents. A lovely morning for everyone getting to know each other and getting the garden ready for spring.

Jamboree on the Air & Jamboree on the Internet 2015 @ Gilwell Park
On Friday, 11 beautiful scouts and 4 leaders arrived at Gilwell Park. First of all we had to set up our tents, then we slept for ‘some’ of the night. On Saturday we used the internet and short wave radios to contact foreign scouts. We spoke to scouts in other countries like Australia and Malta. Our JID at Gilwell was 5GB55P. Beavers District Day Out at Paradise Wildlife Park
This year 8th Letchworth Beavers went to Paradise Wildlife Park near Broxbourne for the District Day Out.
Once there, everyone got a goody bag with a map of the park, a pencil, a woodland trail sheet and a ‘find the letter’ prize draw competiton sheet.
Scattered about the Park were 6 letters. The Beavers had to find them, write them down and also what enclosure they were next to. Continue reading
Born 2B Challenged 2015
On Friday we arrived with our stuff and equipment, we had to load are equipment on to a trailer. We ha
d to follow the trailer to where we would stay for the weekend there were 7 other born 2B plus teams which we had to compete against. Once we had put up our tents and dinning shelter we set out are beds and storage tent. Later that night we went to bed. All the girls had to snuggle in a three man tent because when we were putting up our tent we figured out it was broken so we all had to sleep in one. Continue reading
8L on the County Cub Night Hike
It was 
a really long and tiring walk but also really fun! I did 6 check points and got a glow band. It was dark but I was with my friend Nihal, so wasn’t scared. Just before the 6th check point, Ian gave me an energy bar which made me go faster! I would like to go and do it again!

Cub Summer Camp @ Ferny Crofts
Ferny croft was such an amazing experience, I was so nervous and excited at the same time as it was a long time away from my family, but I can honestly say every part was enjoyable, we started the week by arriving at the campsite and setting up all the tents, a
nd settling in, the next day we did some activities like crate building, abseiling, rock climbing and the zip wire and many more, my favourite that day was abseiling I was so pleased I was brave enough to do it. Scouts – Brecon Beacons
On the 27th of July we travelled to the Brecon Beacons. We did many activities whilst we were there including climbing, walking and pony trekking. However, my favourite was definitely the canoeing expedition. I shared a canoe with Mae and Rachel. We canoed 11k downstream to our overnight camp. We made our bivouacs which consisted of a canoe and a sheet to stop us getting wet. These were held up by the paddles. Continue reading
